Welcome

My name is Albert Zoer, I am twentyfour years old and me and my father Arent Zoer are the names behind the above mentioned companyname. The company in its recent form is very young, although it's history goes back to about the early sixties therefore we still call ourselves
" Zoer stable" most of the time. I would like to tell you something about our history to give you an impression of who we are, and what we are doing.

My parents bought in 1974 a farm with five stables in Echten ( Holland ). Besides running the farm, my father was riding horses in his younger years and bought and sold a horse now and then. II had two older sisters, Jenny and Gina. After riding pony's for a few years, my eldest sister Jenny started riding horses when she was twelve years old in 1982. My father stopped horseriding at that time. After Jenny and Gina, I also started riding pony's and horses, so there to be build more stables, about twenty more.
Unlike Gina, who went an other direction, Jenny and I realy hated school and only wanted to ride horses all day. Showjumping was and still is our passion. Therefore my fathers main business became to find horses for us to ride with. Another expansion was realised with a ridinghall to be able to train the horses indoors all through the day.

My father had, and still has, a talent to see in a young horse it's capacity. Most people must admit now that he is not often wrong in his judgement.
Because of the combinations of good horses and very motivated riders, my sister and i could ride very well on shows, and people wanted to buy the horses we jumped with on shows. The name Zoer became known on national and international shows. That helped to make a living out of buying and selling horses at that time for our family. Down on this page you can find a list of names of horses we have been riding, that have been competing on international showjumpingcompetitions or they are still competing.

After competing on the Olympic games in 1992 in Barcelone with Wendela and the World Equeatrian Games in the Hague (Holland) in 1994 with Desteny, my sister Jenny went her own way. My father and i went on and enlarged our view. We had an idea of breeding our own good jumpinghorses. When we bought the young stallion Faldo at the age of three, and through the years he appeared to be a very good showjumper. The idea of breeding good jumpinghorses was not just an idea anymore, it beacme reality. We breeded the stallion Lincoln out of the before mentioned Faldo and one of our own good mares. The stallions Lincoln has also become a very good showjumper.

I realy like to ride with these horses on competitions although they are Stallions. They are very co-operative with me. Our other stallions are still quite young but very promising, like Kigali.( Dutch champion at five and six years age and worldchampion at five years age.)

Kigali -Dutch Champion
- In the year 2000 we can proudly say that we have build up anice block of buildings and have about 50 horses to compete with, among which 6 stallions. The sperm of these stallions is available. From these stallions we have several nice young horses.More information about our stallions you can find on the next page. The other horses we compete with on national and international shows are for sale, at least if we think they are ready to be sold. Somebody else should be able to do well with them also is our idea. Therefore our young horses are also trained by our employee's or trainee's, and they also compete with them now and then.

Practically every weekend we go to showjumping competitions. This way the young horses get some experience. A small selection of horses that are for sale you can see this site after March 15.
The combination of, for the most part, breeding our own good showjumpinghorses, train them ourselves and sell them after a while, could be seen as one of the most succesfull factors for the succes of the company in it's presen state i think.

Succesful horses we have sold are:

Olympic Sunrice ( olympic games Seoel 1988 ) with Rob Erens.
Olympic Wendela ( olympic games Barcelona 1992 ) with Jenny Zoer
Olimpic Desteny ( world eqestrian games Den Haag 1994 ) with Jenny Zoer
Elando ( Winner world cup qualification Mechelen ) with Rudy Helson
You can dot it ( World cup Final Gothenburg 1998 ) with Ulrich Kirchhof
Eldorado, International succesful with Veronique Whitaker.
Frederick, International showjumper with Eric Navet.
